The Mystery Continues

I finished clue 4 of Mystery Stole 3. And, SURPRISE, I actually managed to take a couple of pictures to share. I remain optimistic that I will actually finish this time around and so far I have been able to stay on top of my game. Of course, I am knitting two of these. So, my optimism only exteeds to finishing one of them. Eventually, before I die, I will finish the second one and Mystery Stole 2. Unless, something else catches my eye.

Because I am too lazy . . .

to take a picture and because I've been completely absorbed in Mystery Stole 3 knitting, I give you . . .

What Your Soul Really Looks Like

You are a warm hearted and open minded person. It's easy for you to forgive and forget.

You are a grounded person, but you also leave room for imagination and dreams. You feet may be on the ground, but you're head is in the clouds.

You believe that people see you for how you are, not how you look. But deep down, you know that's not exactly true.

Your near future is calm, relaxing, and pretty much what you want. And it's something you've been anticipating for a while now.

For you, love is all about caring and comfort. You couldn't fall in love with someone you didn't trust.

I couldn't fall in love with someone I didn't trust. This is so timely considering what's going on in my personal life and good advice in general. Question . . . does that mean it will be easier to fall out of love with someone you've just discovered you couldn't trust?

Will I be able to keep up?

I've managed to complete the third clue of Mystery Stole 3 a second time. I'm making two this time. The first one is in a nice, traditional, white color and the other is taking a walk on the wild side with a variegated colorway. I really didn't care for the variegated colorway but its growing on me as the stole grows. It was the June edition of the Lace Cake of the Month Club. The variegated yarn is in yellow, green, blue, purple pastels. I'm not a big fan of these colors. I prefer rich, dark colors. The question is will I be able to keep up this pace? Will I actually finish this time? Mystery Stole 2 is still unfinished. It makes me wonder what made me believe I could complete two different stoles this year. Call me an optimist.

I don't have any knitting pictures to share today. So, I decided to share a photo from our trip to Orlando in 2005. Cute, yes??

Mystery Stole News

CLUE 3 IS COMPLETE!!!!!

Oklahoman Eye Candy

Another picture from my hike at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. This place was so beautiful. This was the view from the top. I love the way the two rocks are just sitting on top as if someone simply placed them there. These mountains reminded me of play dough.

Second Clue Complete

I've completed Clue 2 of Mystery Stole 3. I'm using Zephyr Wool Silk in Vanilla and size 8/0 beads from the The Beadwrangler in color #110. I am going to try to stay on task this year and actually finish the stole. Mystery Stole 2 is still not finished. :-) I'm also knitting a second Mystery Stole 3 and I've completed Clue 2 on it as well. I'm using lace weight yarn from Mama-E's Lace Cake of the Month club. The color is called grapevine. I'm using 8/0 beads in color #320. Pictures of Mystery Stole 3 the second coming soon.

What finger are you?

You Are the Index Finger

You are ambitious, driven, and capable.
You aren't afraid to take responsibility for your actions - or place the blame on whoever deserves it.
You are honest, free thinking, and objective. You see things in your own way - and you aren't afraid to let everyone know about it.

You get along well with: The Thumb

Stay away from: The Ring Finger

Today, I am the irritable finger. There is nothing and no one I find pleasing. Sleep deprivation is the only plausible reason for said irritability.

Anti-Eye-Candy Friday

Buffalo droppings - - I ran into a lot of this during my hike at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. The buffalo and longhorns are open range which becomes abundantly apparent when you are hiking up the mountain and run into one of these little patties. Buffalo patties aside, it is a beautiful place with an interesting history.

The Mystery Begins . . .

I have completed the first clue of Mystery Stole 3. I was disturbed and frustrated to discovered my crochet hook was too big when I first attempted to complete the first clue on Friday. However, I placed another order at the Beadwrangler. My order arrived today. This is my first attempt at using beads and I must admit I'm smitten. I'm also in love with the beadwrangler. This is a business that still understands the importance of customer service! I am not a patient person, so I really appreciate the speed at which they ship. Of course, I always appreciate anything or anyone that exceeds my expectations. It's hard to do. I can be difficult. :-) If I could find a working camera I'd take a picture for you. Until then, you must content yourself with . . .

A photo from my trip to Oklahoma. We were at a botanical garden of some variety. It's a pineapple. Don't you think it's pretty? It was a revelation for me to discover, during my trip to Hawaii, that pineapples don't grow on trees. I don't know why I imagined the pineapple in a tree but I did. They are really quite peculiar but delicious. My mother is allergic to pineapples which must be a huge disappointment for her. I love fresh pineapple.

It is almost 1 a.m. Why am I still awake?

Elegant Cable Socks

Pattern: Elegant Cable Socks
Yarn: Regia Silk Sock Color 070(Green)
Measurements: Ladies Medium
Started: April 28, 2007
Finished: April 30, 2007
Other Details: I love this pattern! The yarn -- not so much. I was annoyed that there were so many knots throughout one of the skeins. I made these for my friend, Tammy. I was leaving to visit her in Oklahoma on May 1, 2007 and I wanted to give her something special. She loved the socks and they fit perfectly.

I've been absent from blog land for quite awhile now for several reasons which include: laziness and heartache. But, I'm back now and I will do my best to be a better blogger. I've got plenty to blog about as I've been knitting like crazy. So, stay tuned.
