St. George Island

I enjoyed the most relaxing holiday this past weekend. One of my friends had rented a house on St. George Island, FL and invited me to come visit for the weekend. Naturally, I went -- you never turn down a trip to the beach. I had the most amazing time. I am forever spoiled. St. George Island is beautiful and the nearby "fishing village" is complete with oyster boats and charming places to dine. Ahhh . . .

Oh, Laura, how absoloutely serene! I could just stare at those photos all day, they just draw you in don't they? I imagine it must have been nearly impossible to leave, wasn't it?

Any sock knitting done while you were away?!?

What great pics!! I love the one with the chairs on the beach...looks like I could just walk right up and "sit a spell". What a great trip to be able to take....but I forget....now what exactly is a VACATION??? Seems vaguely familiar to me but not sure it's been so long!!! LOL!!!

St. George is a wonderful place...I am lucky enough to have a vacation home there and plan on spending Thanksgiving with my wife and one daughter there, as well as the week after Christmas.

Fall down on the island is simply spectacular!

Jon from Atlanta.

PS: You can rent it if you want :-)

Called ABACO listed with Collins Vacation Rentals

It was a wonderful trip! The photo with the chairs was taken from the third floor of the home we were staying in. The three of us spent most of the day sitting in those chairs. I have always wanted to visit St. George Island. So, I've been and now I want to go back.

That reminds me of where we go... Cape San Blas, but St George is much more populated. Beautiful!
